Hi!

Did you know that there is a big difference between a licensed mortgage loan originator and a registered loan officer at a bank?

And why should you care?

Licensed Mortgage Loan Originator Must:

  • Have 20 hours of training courses
  • Pass a NATIONAL licensing test
  • Pass a STATE licensing test
  • Pass a Criminal Background Check
  • Be Fingerprinted
  • Have their Credit Report analyzed annually

And are listed on a NATIONAL website for consumers to check their status.

Registered Mortgage Loan Originator (bank employee) Must:

  • Submit to a routine background check (but by the bank they work for!)

And are listed on a National website for consumers to check their status.

So, please, take the time to check out our credentials at www.nmlsconsumeraccess.org.  Simply enter one of our license numbers (listed below).   If you have talked with other loan officers (which we encourage you to do) please ask for their license number and check them out as well!

And if they are not listed?  Well….if we were you, we’d find out exactly what type of training they have had!

Thanks, and we hope to hear from you SOON!
